Jason Drane has spent 15+ years at the intersection of cloud architecture, automation, and engineering leadership — from early-stage healthtech startups to Fortune 500 enterprise environments. As a Principal Site Reliability Engineer, he designed multi-cloud environments, led Agile ceremonies, and built observability infrastructure that enterprise teams depend on daily.
FigTree Development was built to channel that depth into something accessible: enterprise-grade technical work and real marketing strategy for businesses that are growing and need a partner who has actually been in the weeds.

Stephen McDermott has been building software for 25 years — .NET and Java service layers, API and integration platforms, ETL and reporting systems — across healthcare, media, financial services, and SaaS. He has stayed hands-on through every title: running the Integrations and Data teams at Autosoft DMS as Senior Software Engineering Manager, he still wrote 25–50% of the code himself and sat in the same sprint process as the engineers he led.
As an application architect he designed a custom batch framework and the rules-engine interface for electronic enrollment at CDPHP, led the conversion of a claims reporting database into .NET and Java modules at UnitedHealth Group, and as CTO of My Incubate Messenger built the Java and Spring service layer plus the AWS infrastructure behind an iOS and Android product. Teams of up to twenty, onshore and offshore.
That engineering foundation is what makes his platform work different. Recent projects include AWS WAF and IAM controls written in Terraform and Python at Principal Financial Group, custom Checkov policies enforced in pre-deploy PR checks, and ownership of triage and remediation for major site incidents as a DevOps/SRE at Included Health.
At FigTree Development he leads the software architecture and platform side of client work — the discipline that keeps what we ship auditable from the first commit and uneventful in production. Based in Tampa, Florida.
